Raised with The Kinks, The Who and The Small Faces, Hushpuppies are now grown-ups who enjoy all kinds of sounds. These music-lovers are as inspired by the psychedelic atmospheres developed by Electrelane, Death In Vegas or Grandaddy, as by the liberating power of QOTSA, Led Zeppelin or The Hives. Silence is Golden, which was of course recorded live, is an extension of their best live performances, and at a same time explores the unlimited possibilities of a recording studio. Thus, it remains faithful to their power as well as to the subtleties of their song writing.
