The BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE has been somewhat of a musical commune for many respected musicians over the years, a band from the 1990's that has spurned other great bands ever since: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Warlocks, The Silver Rockets, The Black Angels, The Ravenettes, The Dilettantes (to name a few) are all part of this musical family tree. Indeed, this is a band that has witnessed many incarnations, since its inception in San Francisco in 1992. With their unique brand of mind-expanding pschedelia, which references artists as varied as The Beatles, Os Mutantes, The Velvet Underground, The Byrds and The Rolling Stones as well as middle eastern and Brazilian style music, the band have garnered a cult following worldwide with a number of outstanding albums across the past two decades: 'Thank God For Mental Illness', 'Strung Out In Heaven', 'Bravery, Repetition and Noise', 'We are the Radio', 'My Bloody Underground' and 2010's 'Who Killed Sgt. Pepper'. 'THE SINGLES COLLECTION 92 - 11' is a double disc album featuring 14 tracks that have not been available on CD before. The tracks are versions that are completely different from any version that found itself on a full length album. It also features two tracks from the band's alter ego Acid recorded in 1993, and also the previously unreleased tracks "Convertible" and "Their Majesties 2nd Request (Enrique's Dream)". The most recent 2011 vinyl single release "Illuminomi" and "There's A War Going On" are also included. Accompanying the album is a 24-page booklet featuring the front and backs of all original covers.
