2006 was a banner year for Bluebottle Kiss. It started with an Australian tour alongside of critically acclaimed alt. country band Richmond Fontaine, followed up by a number of showcases at the famous SXSW Festival and a number of US dates. Upon their return to Australia, the band released an epic double album, Doubt Seeds, to universally positive reviews. Supporting the release was a tour with a 13 piece band that saw Bluebottle Kiss make end-of-year best-of lists for both their album and live show. Beginning 2007 with a few intimate dates, bringing their sometimes neglected quieter songs to Sydney's more sophisticated venues, Bluebottle Kiss are warming up for another year of rock and roll. The release of a new EP, Slight Return + Out Seeds, will support an east coast tour and see the final release of music (7 new songs) from their Doubt Seeds sessions. In addition to the new songs, Bluebottle Kiss will be heavily mining their back catalogue leading up to the final shows of the tour at Sydney's Annandale Hotel, which will be recorded for a live album. After 13 years of non-stop rock and the release of 135 songs, there is going to be a lot to work with!
