The perfect description for this band and their sound: the sound is modern but the feel is almost 1930s chamber music. Very delicate and tense - and when they do attempt to kick it in to high gear (every so often) it comes off more like a sea shanty or a bunch of drunken circus folk trying out for the salvation army band. Put that all together and you have (at the very least) a damn interesting sound...and at it's best (which is most of the time) one of the best going around. The sound those new-new-romantics (Travis, Coldplay etc etc) are trying to reach, only done with great ease and a stack of much better songs.

Live In Paris - I Just Wanna Rock $23.99 (AUD) JOE SATRIANI is the guitar. Plain and simple. No one else has ever been able to play with such pizzazz, such fluidity, such timelessness. That's not to say that there aren't others out there who are accomplished, they just can't even come close to achieving the magic that Joe Satriani performs as soon as his fingers mesh with the strings. Since the late eighties, the self-taught, multi-platinum virtuoso has been winning over fans and musicians alike with his groundbreaking style and legendary sounds. | Hits Misses Rags And Tatters - Complete Stiff Masters $19.99 (AUD) | $17.99 (AUD) | $29.99 (AUD) |
