Take It To The Streets is the new Angels album featuring the Brewster Brothers and with Dave Gleeson (formerly of The Screaming Jets) on lead vocals. You'll hear the melodic riff-laden new single 'Waiting For The Sun', the punk-crash slam of 'Getting Free', the rumbling grooves of 'Some Kind Of Hell In Here' and 'Life Gets Better'; and a guitar-drenched version of Elvis Costello's 'Pump It Up'; plus wall-rattling remakes of Angels fan favourites 'Small Price' and 'When The Time Come'.
" This is a dream come true for me," says Dave Gleeson, "it doesn't get much better than to record an album with The Angels. And it's the right time to make a rock record like this. There's too much machine music out there, and rock got too soft. This album is what rock is all about."
This is The Angels 2012. New singer, new drummer, new songs, but undeniably The Angels.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What have they taken to the street....? Pat on 07.09.2012 Sorry guys, Angels fan since I was a kid, but this is rubbish. What were they thinking, is this the Angels retirement fund? So disappointed. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Dreadful Glenn Woodford on 08.09.2012 It may be a dream come true for Dave Gleeson, but it's a bad fit for fans of The Angels. Neeson's trademark vocal performance is sadly lacking. Covering old Angel's classics just highlights the problem with Gleeson's bland vocals. A dreadful album that sounds like an average cover band |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | disappointed John Wilkinson on 10.09.2012 Sorry Guys Never should've happened. Sounds more like a Brewster Bros Production, not an Angels. Have to agree with Glenn Woodford "A dreadful album that sounds like an average cover band" |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | my kids wasted their money Take It To The Streets on 10.09.2012 The kids bought me this for Fathers Day - I wish they had stuck to socks & undies. Been a fan of The Angels since Adam was a boy - this is not The Angels. Absolute crap, even my teenage kids walked out of the room when I played it. |
