It's great to hear a LOUD ANGRY band being not so angry and a lot more tounge in cheek (example 1: song 'Your Children Are Waiting For You To Die' which is little more than 1 minute of nonsense instrumental rambling!). Influences? Where do I start? Every song title looks like the inside of Mark E. Smith's head, every gutteral scream sounds like the inside of Ian McKaye's lungs and the music? Well it sounds like every album you've ever owned mashed together and then played at twice the speed. And is that politics I smell creeping into the lyrics - you wouldn't have to stretch the truth too far to read into lines like "He is not the man the Daily Mirror think he is at home...there is fortune to be wasted now the west is almost won" (fear not, there's still plenty of 'poetry" like "Once a year or maybe twice your son looks like Michael Jackson" and "think of death as a medium-sized yellow robot"???). Not as hardcore as the classic 'McLusky Do Dallas' but perhaps all the better for it.
