I'm really excited about about this, because I have half of their songs on my I-river (like an I-pod). It was so thoughtful of them to make a special edition of it, so that the owner can keep all in the one place. I have difficulty doing this with collections. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Different is Good Veronica Gartland on 15.09.2012 As a die hard Green Day fan with their music from 89-2009 sitting on my shelf, this album (and the next two) are very highly anticipated.I have heard the Singles 'Oh Love', 'Kill the DJ' and 'Let Yourself Go' and I can say the sound is not classic 'Dookie' Green Day or Rock Opera 'American Idiot' Green Day, but more a dance punk sound. Each song has fast paced beat, and unforgettable vocals from Billie Joe, but more importantly catchy rhythm which would be hard to forget, and keeps the body tapping away. All I can say is so far so good, different and new Green Day is still substantially awesome Green Day. If these songs played at the clubs there would be no need to Kill the Dj. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Uno - Greenday Anthony Lee on 26.09.2012 After ambitious concept albums “American Idiot” and “21st Century Breakdown”, Green Day return to an uncomplicated punk-rock/power-pop sound reminiscent of their earlier work with their 9th studio album. Uno marks the start of a trilogy of albums, losing the social commentary of the previous two albums, and instead dealing with themes of teenage love, sex, and drinking too much alcohol – this despite lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong being almost 40! For those unfamiliar with Green Day, expect high-energy tracks, filled with catchy guitar hooks and easy to sing along with lyrics. Standout tracks for me are Let Yourself Go and Kill The DJ. |
