Planningtorock is the pseudonym of Janine Rostron, originally of Bolton, England, but now of Berlin. Her first album for DFA, "W", is a chilling slice of electro which is slowly winning her fans across the globe. Previously best known for collaborations with The Knife (a band whose sound she never mimics, but who are clearly an inspiration), Janine is stepping into the limelight with this remarkable work which has had journalists searching for new superlatives. The rather scary video for lead single "Doorway" was big online, with a Pitchfork premiere.
