WIM has emerged on the scene out of relative obscurity. There have been whispers about them for years following their wondrous live shows; and now their haunting tunes will bring them into the limelight. Now Modular is proud as punch to announce their debut album. WIM's debut, self-titled record has been a creative meeting of minds, having been produced by local legend Tony Buchen (Andy Bull, Ray Man 3, Kid (Andy Bull, Ray Man 3, Kid Confucius) and mixed by industry aristocracy Bob Clearmountain (Springsteen, Roxy Music, INXS) in L.A. The result is an album that encapsulates the best of classic song writing and modern ideas, executed in a phenomenal fashion. The record itself doesn't ooze of a buzz band way ahead of itself but rather a gradually growing group of musicians doing what they do best.

Awesome

Mark on 13.05.2011

I've been following these guys for a while and could not be more excited to get their first album. If their EP and gigs are anything to go by - this is going to be great.

These guys were the pre-show for Gyspy and the cat in Newcastle and they blew me away! They have an amazing way of incorporating a beautiful harmonic vocal line with super talented musicians; Explosive sound! And the band are genuine! Genuine people! LOVE them!

Wim - Sydney's best kept secret until this release

Tim da-Rin on 31.05.2011

Wim's harmonies deliver a mixed charge of bohemian melancholy and blissful romanticism. Their charming live performances leaves your imagination wandering. I thoroughly enjoy and recommend them!

Saw this talented group of young men in Cooly when they toured with Gypsy... Their live show was enchanting and captivating, so much so that I hardly remember hearing Gypsy play.. Not only are these boys amazing gifted but they are genuinely nice guys! This album is not one to be missed!
