THE SAPPHIRES soundtrack, which features all the music as seen in the film, is a collection of Soul Classics that defines a generation. With classics such as Heard It Through The Grapevine, What A Man and Ill Take You There performed by one of the films stars, Jessica Mauboy. Set in 1968, music is integral to the feel good Aussie film that follows four young Aboriginal girls; 'The Sapphires', through a turbulent time in history set to the backdrop of some of the greatest hits of the 60's. In addition to the songs from the film, the soundtrack also features a track written by Jessica Mauboy along with Ilan Kidron from the Potbelleez and Louis Schoorl, which was inspired by songs from the film.
