Lateef The Truthspeaker is a Bay Area legend, a founding member of the widely acclaimed and hugely popular SOLESIDES collective, which became QUANNUM PROJECTS, a legendary troupe of west coast hip hoppers that includes DJ Shadow, Lyrics Born and Blackalicious. Lateef is also part of the groups Latyrx (with Lyrics Born), The Maroons (with Blackalicious' Chief Xcel), and The Mighty Underdogs (with Blackalicious' Gift Of Gab and Headnodic from Crown City Rockers). A sought-after collaborator, Lateef has also contributed vocals to Fatboy Slim's hit singles "That Old Pair Of Jeans" and "Wonderful Night", and on DJ Shadow's "Enuff". But with 'Firewire' - Lateef's long-awaited debut solo album - he makes his loudest statement yet of his stunning musical prowess, the album a tour-de-force of musical depth and creativity.
