Bow Wow was discovered at the age of 5 by Snoop Dogg and featured on the entertainment icon's groundbreaking album 'Doggystyle' album. After being teamed a few years later with Jermaine Dupri, Lil Bow Wow exploded onto the music scene in 2000 with 'Beware Of Dog', the first in a string of platinum and gold albums. 'New Jack City Pt II' is about being reunited after a year long separation with Jermaine Dupri. Their bond stands stronger than ever on 'Rock the Mic" where the two rap about their mutual admiration for each other, how they have a father-son relationship and they are now comfortable realizing that they don't always agree.

'Freedom of Speech' sees Speech turning from introspection to stand up, face and engage with the world around her, spitting confident themes of revolution and love. Still brutally honest, yet a more mature and exciting record with lyrics to match, the new sound was shaped in collaboration with KWES, a young South London producer who already boasts production for DELS, a record contract with Warp and a recent trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo as part of Damon Albarn's (GORILLAZ) DRC project for Oxfam.
