Pharoahe Monch is a legendary rap artist born in Queens, NY and currently residing in Brooklyn, NY. In 1999 he released his debut album 'Internal Affairs' which has scanned over 250,000 units in the US alone. In 2007, Pharoahe Monch released 'Desire'. Pharoahe Monch is now poised to release his third studio album entitled W.A.R (We Are Renegades). The project features Jill Scott, Immortal Technique, Styles P, Phonte of Little Brother, Jean Grae, Royce Da 5'9,' Idris Elba, Dr. Cornel West (professor from Princeton) & Vernon Reid (guitarist & band-leader for metal group, Living Colour - named #66 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time). Production is by Exile, M-Phazes, Marco Polo, Diamond D, Mike Low, Samiyam, Fatin, Lee Stone, as well as Pharoahe Monch himself.

 | Amazing Iron Lungz on 28.03.2011 I finally got my hands on this album and was just now able to give it a full listen. Amazing as has become Monch's standard, its gonna take repeated listening to fully digest it but there's not a weak track on the whole thing. As stated before, true revolution through music going on here. It's a shame that a lot of the people that NEED to hear this never will. Pharoahe remains as real as it gets. |
