Almost a year after his debut Listennn..The Album was released, Miami-based DJ & producer DJ Khaled is back with his sophomore effort We The Best on Terror Squad & Koch Records. We The Best compiles some of today's best known hip hop talent and pairs them with DJ Khaled's signature Miami sound. Guests include: T.I., The Game, Jadakiss, Paul Wall, Trick Daddy, Ja Rule, Rick Ross, Lil' Wayne, Akon, Baby, Juelz Santana and more. "We The Best represents everybody," DJ Khaled told AllHipHop.com, "'We Takin' Over' is just a new sound. To be successful you have to work 24 hours around the clock and that's what [I'm] doing." The new album includes the single, "We Takin' Over" which featuresT.I., Akon, Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Lil' Wayne and Baby. "We Takin' Over" was was the #1 most added song at hip-hop radio in the US in theweek it was serviced to radio there. The video for "We Takin' Over" was shot in Miami and directed by Miami native/award-winning Director Gil Green, whose credits include Three 6 Mafi a, Akon and Rick Ross. With an increasing number of artists coming out of Miami it's nosurprise that DJ Khaled maintains a heavy work ethic. Along with deejaying, producing, and hosting "The Take Over" radio show on Miami's 99 WEDR-FM (weekdays 6-11pm), DJ Khaled is also managing a group of producers named The Runners. His debut album sold over 200,000 units in the US and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Independent Chart. DJ Khaled is a Palestinian American who grew up in New Orleans and later moved to Miami. His recording studio is named "Jerusalem", and he is friends with hip hop producers Timbaland & Scott Storch. We Takin Over was recorded at Timbaland's studio - The Hit Factory. He is a member of Terror Squad crew, which includes Fat Joe & Big Pun (RIP), Cuban Link and Remy Ma among others. Terror Squad's most recent hit was "Lean Back" which gained signifi cant video play in Australia on Channel V and MTV.
