Any misgivings that pundits may have had over Carla Bruni's ability to make the transition from the catwalk to the recording studio have been wholly dispelled by the runaway success of her debut album 'Quelqu'un m'a dit' (Somebody told me). The record has sold 950 000 copies in France and made the former model a household name. Its second album 'No Promises' reinforced Carla musical credibility as she went back in time and borrow the work of classical English poets, with incredible sensitivity. Rocked by an acoustic guitar and sometimes by a harmonica or a cello, her carnal and sensual voice softly sings these tracks with natural elegance. She is now returning with a 3rd album Produced by Dominique Blanc-Francard, the album includes 14 tracks written and composed by Carla Bruni, with the exception of two songs written in collaboration with French novelist Michel Houellebecq and singer Julien Clerc respectively, and two cover versions. Upon her request, Carla Bruni's royalties will be given to "Fondation de France".
