This LCD is incredible for the value, I have had mine for the last 4-5 months, hasn't skipped a beat. I mean yes it might not be as crisp as a $2k 100hz name brand LCD. But it is a hell of a lot smoother, thanks to the 200hz. The menu isn't the quickest loading, especially when connected to an external HDD. But it doesn't really matter in the end. But I highly recommend this television to everyone, if you are worried about the quality of the parts, just get the extended warranty, and because it is under $1000, it is only $129 (well it was when i got the television) to get the warranty period increased to 5 years.

Everyone sees and likes different things.. It's what's on the inside of the tv ... What it offers and what it does as well as the look of the screen.. While watching a normal station not blu-ray... Dont buy a tv because your mate likes the tv buy according to what your eye likes... And avoid looking at prices...

200hz problem

Bought one of these but its not playing at 200hz only a measly 50hz which means there is heaps of jittering when i am watching anything. Can anyone help me out? or should i just return it for not fulfilling its statement of 200hz?

Spot on Ari-great value for a 200Hz Pannel I believe these were previously selling (last year) for well over $1200. so we have bought well. As for your comments Bob, go and talk to a JB SALESMAN and he will explain that your knowledge of ELECTRONICS is lacking in credibility !. I had a (very ) minor annoyance regarding the 200 Hz Processing - BUT, after calling the SONIQ Technical People, was well looked after. I was immediately E-Mailed a FirmWare Mod. & after installing it I could switch from the automatic 200 Hz setting, thereby rectifying the situation. Sure it's not as sharp an immage as a $2,400 TV - but hell, what do you expect for under a Grand ? ? ? Great effort SONIQ , I am impressed by both your product and (more so) with your excellent After Sales response and advice.

This TV is ok if you are watching dvds or some television shows, but for sport and high definition viewing this TV is terrible. Sport is unwatchable on this television, especially UFC, Rubgy or anything else in high def. 200 hz is rubbish for high def images. The screen becomes very scrambled and unwatchable when there is any sort of movement. But if you only want it for movies, especially kids movies, it's fine. Hope this is helpful.
