Great picture but was very disappointed with the audio--sounds very tinny -as if the people are talking into a tin can! if you are any distance from the set it is hard to distinguish what is being said. Had no trouble with my old TV (10 yrs)

Very very dissapointed in this tv and TEAC!! Horrible tinny squeaky sound with very feeble volume. Even on max volume sound is so quiet it compares to my other, smaller tv at 1/4 volume + sounds shocking. Reception is also dreadful, it cannot recieve 8 digital stations my Sony HD Hdd recieves perfectly. (so it's NOT my antenna as JB & TEAC tried to claim). TEAC "service" took 2 weeks to check the TV and returned it with no visible improvement. Try to get a refund and they won't talk to you, only via email! The TEAC tv is terrible and their "customer service" is a joke.

Wish I had read the reviews above mine. All too true - sound is horribly tinny and and very disappointing and the problems with stations the same - as have lost 3 channels. Dont buy.

With all the wonderful sound technology around these days, Teac have let themselves down so badly with the sound on this TV. Even after resetting the meagre sound controls, nothing much seems to change. The sound is - for want of a better word - TERRIBLE. No problems with the picture. The sound/speech is so tinny, many times hard to understand and so high pitched it hurts my ears.
