Cheapest quality smart tv!
Ming on 11.10.2012
I bought this tv after buying and returning a Hitachi 42" to Myer, twice! The soniq 48" is brilliant. Clear image with vibrant colors that didn't hurt the eyes (unlike the Hitachi). Sound is adequate (not amazing) but I use a surround sound system so it doesn't bother me. Can't go wrong with 3 HDMIs and 4(!) USB inputs. It has a solid base that can swivel and a fairly thin black border which visually puts it in the class of TVs at least twice its price. LED technology means its thin and less heavy, although I still use a TV strap to secure it to the TV unit (I've got a 1yo in the house). The remote control is easy to use and well organised (unlike those of some cheaper TVs). It has a QWERTY keyboard on the back that works by pointing the remote sideways at the TV (it must have 2 IR transmitters). The Smart TV functionality is fairly basic and a teeny bit gimmicky IMO, but it's not all bad. I've got an Apple TV which I like much better, but if I didn't I suppose I would use the Soniq

T.v picture is good. Easy to use however the audio drops out intermittently watching t.v using surround sound. Very annoying as u need the surround sound as t.v sound is poor.
