GENERAL INFORMATION
The JB Hi-Fi website sells gift vouchers that are easy to buy, easy to activate, and easy to redeem.
JB Hi-Fi website gift vouchers are for recipients who will be shopping on our website. They can be sent immediately on order verification, or scheduled for delivery at anytime in the future. JB Hi-Fi website gift vouchers can be sent to any person with an email address. Once activated by the recipient, the value of the gift voucher is immediately available for them to use when placing orders.
Gift vouchers are valid for one year from the time they are issued, after which the voucher expires. Any remaining credit is non-refundable.
The JB Hi-Fi website does not currently sell gift vouchers for use instore.
BUYING GIFT VOUCHERS
To purchase JB Hi-Fi Gift Vouchers, click on the “GIFT VOUCHERS” link (top of page). Complete the gift voucher form. You will need to provide the following information:
- A nominated voucher value - select from a list of common denominations, or enter your own value
- Recipient's name
- Recipient's email
- Your name
- Delivery date
- Personal message
You will need to complete the form for every voucher you wish to purchase. To place your order, proceed to the secure checkout and complete the ordering process. Once your order has been verified, the gift voucher is automatically sent to the recipient, or queued to be automatically sent out on the delivery date. All gift vouchers are delivered to recipients by email. PLEASE NOTE: order verification can take up to 24 hours. You are required to provide a physical delivery address when progressing through the secure checkout, however all vouchers are delivered by email to the recipient's email address. For the purposes of orders that only contain vouchers, use your own delivery address.
Gift vouchers work by allocating credit to a customer account. If the recipient already has a customer account at this website, they will simply need to click on the voucher. They will be redirected to our website and asked to login, after which the gift voucher will be activated and the credit allocated to their account for use on orders. If the recipient does not have a customer account, they will be directed to create a new customer account before proceeding.
ACTIVATING GIFT VOUCHERS
If you receive a JB Hi-Fi website gift voucher in your email (all website gift vouchers are sent by email), you will receive detailed instructions with your gift voucher explaining how to activate and redeem your voucher.
Most importantly, you will need to create a JB Hi-Fi website customer account if you do not currently have one.
Gift voucher emails contain a voucher image. Clicking on the image will direct you to our website, where you will be asked to login, or create a new customer account. Once logged in, the value of your gift voucher is allocated to your customer account as a credit you can use when placing orders.
REDEEMING GIFT VOUCHERS
Once you have activated your website gift voucher, the value of the voucher is credited to your customer account. When you are ready to place your order, proceed to the secure checkout - click on the link "Secure Checkout" (top left of page). If you are not logged in, you will be redirected to the login page before proceeding.
Enter the delivery details for the order, then proceed to step two - billing details.
If the value of your order is less than the value of credit you have on your account, there will be no balance to pay. If the value of your order is greater than the value of credit on your account, you will need to provide your credit card details or send a cheque for payment of the balance.
You are then ready to confirm your order. At that point, the credit from your gift voucher will be allocated to the order.
GIFT VOUCHERS AND VOIDED ORDERS
If you use a voucher on an order and that order is subsequently voided or unable to be completed, the funds will be returned to the voucher activated on your account, and can be used on subsequent orders.
GIFT VOUCHER EXPIRY
Gift vouchers automatically expire 12 months from the date they are issued. No refunds will be issued for expired gift vouchers, or for any remaining credit outstanding at expiry.
"CAN I USE MY WEBSITE GIFT VOUCHER INSTORE, AND VICE VERSA?"
No. JB Hi-Fi Website Gift Vouchers can only be redeemed on the JB Hi-Fi website - they are not accepted in JB Hi-Fi stores. Likewise, Instore Gift Vouchers can only be redeemed in JB Hi-Fi stores, and cannot be accepted on the JB Hi-Fi website.
"DO YOU ACCEPT PHYSICAL GIFT VOUCHERS, OR ANY OTHER GIFT VOUCHERS?"
The JB Hi-Fi website will only accept JB Hi-Fi Website Gift Vouchers - we do not accept physical store gift vouchers, or any other gift voucher.
"I LOST/DELETED/NEVER RECEIVED MY GIFT VOUCHER EMAIL. WHAT CAN I DO?"
Email us at orders@jbhifionline.com.au with your name and email address to which the email was originally sent. We will send you a copy of the original email that you can use to activate your gift voucher.
